Born from the ashes of punk group The Prefects, The Nightingales formed in 1979 and released their self-titled debut EP three years later. Since then, they have expanded their discography to include eight EPs, 11 albums—including their most recent, 2020’s Four Against Fate—as well as a handful of standalone singles and live records, have toured with The Clash and played Glastonbury Festival.
In 2021, a feature-length documentary was premiered in the shape of King Rocker, which detailed the life and career of the band.
The Nightingales will celebrate the release of their upcoming EP, ‘The New Nonsense’, with a UK tour in April / May 22, including a much anticipated show – with special guest Ted Chippington – at The Trades Club!
