Sunday 1st October
The Schitzophonics + Hey Bulldog
£7/£9 [+ 10% booking fee]
Doors open 8pm
Over the last few years, THE SCHIZOPHONICS have built up a formidable reputation as an explosive live band. Tapping into the same unstoppable combination of Rock ‘n’ Roll energy and showmanship that fueled The MC5 in the heyday of the Grande Ballroom, they’re also heavily influenced by artists like James Brown, Iggy Pop, Jimi Hendrix, Little Richard & The Sonics.
Singer/Guitarist Pat Beers and drummer Lety Beers started playing together in late 2008 and have worked tirelessly since then, winning 4 San Diego music awards, and playing hundreds of live shows up and down the West Coast of the USA, and further afield. In 2013 they were recruited as the backing band/Opening band for EL VEZ, touring Spain and Italy.
Those of you who saw them open for Little Barrie at the Trades last year will know why this is a show you don’t want to miss. They’re about to release their first full length album, titled Land Of The Living on the Sympathy For The Record Industry label and we can’t wait to have them back at the Trades!
