The 4th Poetry of it all is delighted to have Jackie Kay headlining ably supported by Michelle Scally Clarke and resident guest poet Toria Garbutt plus the usually mix of open mic-ers.
Jackie Kay is an award-winning writer of poetry, fiction and plays and is the former Scottish Poet Laureate. Jackie Kay’s work, constantly exploring questions of personal, racial and sexual identity, is not merely autobiographical, but considers wider applications of multiculturalism and gender confusion.
Michelle Scally Clarke is a professional, freelance author, poet, playwright, actor, and songwriter. She is also a creative writing facilitator, dedicated to helping others express their creativity and wellbeing through writing.
Toria Garbutt, a firm favourite at The Trades Club is currently touring with John Cooper Clarke and brings a unique, passionate, moving and hilarious look at love, loss and life.
The wonderful mix of open mic-ers, often first time readers makes this a wonderful, supportive and unique rock n roll evening of poetry that will make you laugh and cry.
Our raffle will be hosted by a surprise VIP and all proceeds will go to Sheffield Childrens Hospital Charity.
