We’re delighted that Meteor Choice Music Prize and Ivor Novello nominated musical geniuses Pugwash are returning to the Trades Club in August. Anyone present at their Hebden Bridge show last year will know what a special night this is going to be. BOOK NOW!
‘Pugwash, at their best, are almost Beatle-like in their greatness. They are THAT good.’ Anday Partridge (XTC)
Singer-songwriter Iain Hornal studies at the school of classic pop, and as featured backing vocalist and guitarist in the current incarnation of Jeff Lynne’s ELO, it seems he has a good teacher.
As a bid to fulfil some of his own creative ambitions, Iain has formed a new collective: The Hornal Family. Put together with musical friends Iain has made along his merry way, and constantly expanding, this pool of considerable talent is in the midst of recording its debut album. This will feature guest appearances from Sophie Ellis-Bextor and members of The Feeling, as well as a collaboration with half of the original line-up of 10cc: Graham Gouldman and Kevin Godley. Iain’s songs have their roots in classic writing and draw from a broad palette of influences from David Bowie and Peter Gabriel to The Beach Boys and Crosby, Stills & Nash.
Iain is chuffed-as-nuts to be supporting new friends Pugwash on their English tour dates this August and performing acoustic versions of songs from the upcoming Hornal Family album, as well as some early solo material.
