The Manchester band who are known for their unique brand of roots-rock and indie-folk took an extended break at the end of 2018 after 12 years on the road marked by four studio albums – ‘Under the Pavement’ (2008), ‘Screaming is Something’ (2011) ‘The Big Defreeze’ (2014) and ‘Sails’ (2018). Initially championed by Glastonbury Festival, TTB’s live reputation was forged on both the festival stages such as Cropredy as well as the grassroots venues of the U.K, racking up over 500+ shows and a cult following of fans from Norway to Kosovo and over the big blue ocean to Canada and America.
Singer-songwriters Jo Dudderidge and Adam P. Gorman are joined by the other remaining founding member Nick Vaal on drums. Sam Quinn (bass) and multi-instrumentalist Harry Fausing Smith who both joined during the recording of their last album ‘Sails’ and complete this latest iteration of the band.
The interim years have seen Dudderidge and Gorman set up their own studio ‘Pinhole Sound’ in Manchester, collaborating with multiple artists and songwriters both in the studio and on the road, most notably Lissie who has toured with members of The Travelling Band as her backing band to much acclaim.
This one-off performance at The Trades Club promises brand new material with rumours that a fifth album album is near completion.
