Jaimee Harris is an Austin-based folk singer-songwriter known for her gritty, emotionally honest narratives and powerful vocals. Born in Nacogdoches and raised in Waco, Texas, she developed a passion for storytelling early on, eventually becoming a staple of the Texas music scene. Her 2018 debut album, Red Rescue, received critical acclaim, establishing her as a rising talent in the Americana community. Her second album, Boomerang Town (2023), further explored themes of addiction and family dynamics, cementing her reputation as a thoughtful songwriter. Often touring with her partner, Mary Gauthier, Harris uses her music to explore the dark and light sides of human experience, aiming to make her audiences feel less alone.
‘Her second album is the astonishing Boomerang Town… it further demonstrates the spellbinding writing skills she demonstrated in Red Rescue. It is a folk album with Americana leanings, generally slower than her debut and addresses many issues, including love, emotional distance, death, grief, family, isolation, and inequality…Devastatingly honest songwriting’ AmericanaUK
