Seated event

Join us at The Trades Club on Tuesday 28 April for a colourful and enlightening exploration of the world of beekeeping.

Molly Zacharias (Lucky Dog Honey) will guide you through the pleasures – and potential pains – of this fast-growing and highly-rewarding hobby.

Learn about the anatomy of bees and the organisation of the hive. Become familiar with the equipment you’ll need to get started and find out how to manage your own colony. And connect with the local beekeeping community.

This free tutorial will whet your appetite, give you all the essential basics and set you up perfectly for one of the seasonal beekeeping courses that start in early summer.

Beekeeping is experiencing a huge surge in popularity, driven by a desire to support environmental conservation, protect bee populations and, of course, make your very own tasty, local honey. The renaissance has seen membership of organisations like the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA) shoot up from 8,500 to over 24,000 in less than a decade.

Intrigued? Come and join us at 7pm on Tuesday 28 April to find out more. It’s a FREE event. Just sign up below to guarantee your spot.
