(fundraiser)’ at the Trades on the 18th March – featuring local bands SistaJam and PepperJam.”

Poetry with Geoff Winde & Sharena Lee Sati
“There are a lot of spoken word artists who play with a backup band of some kind. Not so many that do both spoken word and music at the same time — and do both things brilliantly. Geoff Winde might just be the philosopher-poet-musician you didn’t know you were looking for.” (David Rovics)
Sharena Lee Satti is a poet and spoken word artist from Bradford. Who has been performing and sharing her work locally and nationally for a few years now. Which led to her work being recognised by the Verve poetry press and the release of her book “She”. Sharena is a passionate poet, who believes in the power of spoken word and poetry and shares her lived experiences through the poetic art, and also writes about social and environmental issues. http://www.sharenaleesatti.com/
& with speakers on Climate Justice to be confirmed.
Soul Stu and DJ Indignados
Expect a vinyl explosion, straight from the crate and across the board: civil rights soul, alt. takes, Motown, jazz funk and afro beat, with the odd new release, carefully dropped in. From George Benson thru Ben Pirani, we’ve got the dancefloor covered.
