Described as “catching the current wave of Brit Jazz, by Jazzwise Magazine, Compassionate Dictatorship evolved out of the long standing collaboration between Jez Franks and Tori Freestone. Together with bassist Jasper Hoiby and drummer James Maddren, they have toured extensively since their debut album in 2007, honing and developing their sound, releasing a second album ‘Cash Cow’ in 2010 to rave reviews.

Pepperjam have been livening up parties, gigs and festivals for several years with their soulful blend of ska, funk and dub. This party is to launch their second album Under the Radar – on Distilled Records and launched this month. One track has already been selected for the monthly compilation CD issued with R2 magazine.
As ever the Trades Club is proud to support a local band with a great track record.

Hebden Bridge-based singer-songwriter Terry Logan has been collaborating with pianist Dave Nelson since the beginning of the year. Together they have produced some outstanding songs which have emerged from their love of jazz, R’n B, blues and acoustic music. Dave is an established and well-respected Hebden Bridge musician and Terri is beginning to get her name known – particularly since recently supporting Get The Blessing and also Geno Washington at the Trades Club.
